Pat Williams not practicing
It is unclear why, but starting nose tackle Pat Williams is running and stretching with a Vikings staffer.
He does not have a uniform on, and his unit is working with their helmets on.
I have an inkling why he's not practicing but I don't want to speculate.

He's a big fellow who played really well last year. I'd rather see him ease into it now and be a force when the season starts. It's miserably hot, and beating him up and wearing him down would be a mistake. Fortunately, his position requires the least learning, and he's a veteran.
I don't disagree with that, critic. Childress didn't seem upset. Let's face it, he's one of the biggest guys on the team, and you got to be disappointed he isn't able to go from the jump. But you'd rather have that then have him push himself too much and get injured.
