Dwight Smith expected to miss Dallas game

Vikings coach Brad Childress said today S Dwight Smith likely would sit out Sunday's game in Dallas.

Despite a hamstring injury, Smith has played the past two games. Childress diplomatically dodged a question on whether Smith had a setback or not.

Childress said veterans Mike Doss and Tank Williams would both play against the Cowboys.

Meanwhile, Childress indicated LB Vinny Ciurciu (ankle) and FB Naufahu Tahi (knee) are expected out, as well.

With these three players inactive, RB Mewelde Moore may return to the active roster for the first time since Sept. 23 at Kansas City.

i think if smith should sit out until he fully recovers from the hamstring injury, smith is one of the best safties in the league but without his speed he cant perform to his abilities, willaims and doss(arguablly the best back up safties in the league) will get the job done while smith is nurturing his injury. As for Moore gettin put on the active roster this week, this should be done every week, Wade hasn't done a thing returning punts and Mewelde should be returning them, But, im not a coach so i can't make that call.

As a Viking fan in Cleveland, is pains me to see the Browns playing better football then the Vikings. It's time to cut our losses on Brad and send him packing back to Philly where he and his awful offence came from... Also time to dump T-Jack... his play today was as bad as any quaterback I have even seen. Passing up Quinn is going to bite this team in the butt for a long time. Perhaps when we get the 3rd or 4th pick in the draft this year a Legit QB can be chosen, cause we do not have anything more then a squad of back-ups at best.

Memo to WILF: your a joke of an owner and the product your putting on the field is sloppy and hard to watch..... you better come up with a way to fix this ship, or your NFL is going to mean NOT FOR LONG for you bud...
