Safety watch
With the Vikings in need of a safety following Wednesday's release of starter Dwight Smith, one unrestricted free agent to watch is Cincinnati's Madieu Williams, who started 45 games in four seasons with the Bengals.
Williams was Cincinnati's second-round draft choice in 2004, when Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier held the same position with the Bengals.
The free-agent signing period begins Feb. 29.

Sean and Don,
Obviously a pass rushing DE is very high oh the list of needs. One of the best, Jason Taylor is on one of the worst teams. He appears to still have something in the tank. Any chance Parcells would be willing to trade him for picks? If so, what would it take? Would the Vikings be willing?

Clearly the dolphins, knowing they will be rebuilding and not contending next year will be looking to rip off some poor team of all they're draft picks for a player who will soon be the next Julius Peppers....This could be Hershel Walker part II...DO IT!!! Speaking of hershel, he didn't make that much on his vikes he contract considering he had to split it five ways (with each of his personalities - stupid).
Williams looks like a good pick up, you know the mf has to be tough - being from Sierra Leone (Don't buy blood diamonds, STUPID).
