Where's Brad?

Coach Brad Childress was the most notable absentee today as the Vikings went through their final practice before Saturday night's exhibition game at Seattle.

A Vikings spokesman said defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier would explain when he addresses the media after practice.

Defensive tackle Fred Evans was back on the field, as promised, after spending the last week in Florida resolving his legal issues.

Linebacker Chad Greenway also returned after missing Wednesday's practice to be with his wife, Jenni, who gave birth to the couple's first child, a girl.

Players who were either not present or participating were: safety Mike Doss, safety Patrick Body, tight end Richard Owens and linebacker Vinny Ciurciu.

First off!!! Great Job, keep it up!!! I'm from Montreal Canada and have been a Vikings Fan as far back as I can remember. I'm excited about this years team, I get the feeling that a solid foundation is beening set that will house our success for years to come. I have 2 questions if thats ok... 1)Do you think Booby Wade and Robert Ferguson will be successful in ressurecting thiers careers this year? 2).... on the lighter side, How is the cheerleading squad's pre-season going?

I haven't seen Robert Ferguson in action yet, but he could have an immediate impact as the third receiver and I like what I've seen of Bobby Wade.

As a happily married man, of course, I have paid no attention to the Vikings cheerleaders, but Mel Kiper Jr. said they had a strong draft.

1. I have my doubts about both. Bobby Wade was cut by the Titans who aren't exactly deep at WR. Ferguson showed glimpses of brilliance with the Packers but he hasn't been the same since the hit by Darius.

2. Zygi has shown his willingness to spend money to improve the team by buying more land for the cheerleaders to graze on.
