Holcomb's the one ... maybe

While starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson jogged on the sideline, Kelly Holcomb took the first snap with the first-team offense at the start of today's practice.

But that doesn't mean he'll start Sunday's game at Kansas City.

Brooks Bollinger took the second snap and the two alternated plays during the early period that is open to the media.

Coach Brad Childress will address the media after practice and could name a starter, or not.

If nothing else, the Vikings will have to declare Jackson's status on today's injury report.

Jackson suffered a strained groin muscle in last week's 20-17 overtime loss at Detroit and isn't expected to play.

Other injured players to watch are safeties Darren Sharper (hip) and Dwight Smith (hamstring), who were in uniform and participating.

Sean

Thanks for news. It does not matter who will be QB on Sunday, what matter is Vikings are one of the worse team in NFL and I will not be surprised this will be so called "offensive Guru - founder of Kick Ass Offense" Brad last year as a coach!!

Can we get someone creative and energetic coach here?

I can see my season ticket cost ($1,100.00) going down the drain!!

We will win at KC but we will get hammered by very very (so sad to say) talented GB next to next week...

Talented GB???? You gotta be kiddin' me! They beat a rotten Giants team (0-2) and an even worse Eagle team which everyone is beating up on. Do your homework fool!
