Peterson may return kicks

Adrian Peterson and Troy Williamson are fielding kickoffs today during warm ups.

Having Peterson return kicks is so painfully stupid that I can hardly take it. How can Childress possibly justify throwing him out into the special teams gauntlet to (possibly) get hurt while he refuses to put Peterson in when it matters to carry our offense.

Ryan, I completely agree... However, what do you expect from Childress at this point? He's so overmatched week in and week out that he'll do anything to gain an advantage even having the only superstar on this team out running back kick off returns. You know who I wish were running back those kick offs???... Brooks Bollinger... so he'd get crushed and we wouldn't have waste a roster spot on that bum.

DIE CHILDRESS... YOU SUCK!

As the previous posts have suggested...why is Peterson returning kicks instead of being on the field with our lame offense like he should be, especially in the 2nd half of the game when it matters?!? It makes no sense to put him on kickoff returns and than turn around and "de-activate" Mewelde Moore, one of our other "play-makers" while giving Peterson only TWO carries the entire second half?!?! I am seeing more and more evidence each week that is allowing me to question Brad Childress and his coaching philosophy. It just doesn't make sense and I am not the only one who isn't seeing the picture...apparently Childress is the only one who sees the picture, and that is another subpar 6-10 (or worse) season.

Brad Childress has done nothing but hurt this team with his "offensive scheme". He refuses to adjust, stubbornly forcing players into roles to suit the style of offense he wants to run. He continually demonstrates extremely poor game management skills. I would love to see him get shipped off before the season is over. However, I don't think it will happen. If the team goes 3-13 we can only hope that Wilf will be forced to ship Childress off.
