Randy McMichael on the trading block
The Miami Dolphins are shopping veteran tight end Randy McMichael, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting.
According to the paper, the Dolphins are seeking a third round pick.
The Vikings are obviously in the market for a tight end, and they are interested in Visanthe Shiancoe (New York Giants) and Daniel Graham (New England Patriots). The Vikings are believed to be talking to Shiancoe about a deal this morning.
McMichael is the Dolphins' all-time leader in catches (283) and receiving yards (3,096) for a tight end.
McMichael is set to collect a $3 million roster bonus along with a $1 million base salary for 2007, according to the paper. He has a deal through 2009.
