Receiving star

Vikings wide receiver Justin Surrency had a game to remember in NFL Europa over the weekend.

Surrency, a first-year player from Northern Iowa, caught a season-high 12 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown Sunday for the Amsterdam Admirals in a 41-38 loss to the Rhein Fire.

He also returned one kickoff for 24 yards.

We'll see if this guy gets a roster spot with a loaded roster corps. Maybe practice squad material.

This is great!! Here's a kid from St. Paul who didn't go to Cretin or the UM and has a chance to try out with the his hometown team. If you get a chance to watch him you'll see he runs good routes, has soft hands and adjusts well to the ball..........and is basically a real good kid.

Come on Minnesota - let's have some fun and rally behind one of our own!
