Vikings cut down to 75 players

The Vikings released WR Justin Surrency and waived/ injured CB Mike Hawkins and LB Cameron Siskowic to get to the NFL-required maximum of 75 players. The Vikings have an exemption for international practice squad player Seppo Evwaraye.

What we need to do is cut Punter Kluwe and get one of Philly's Punters, instead! They have two good ones, and they're gonna have to cut one of them. Kluwe is a joke. He never gained confidence after his injury two years ago. I say let him go now, before the season starts.....We also need a Kicker!!!!
Not to be so pessimistic, but I never liked Longwell as our Kicker...Overall, the Vikes will still do better this season though....Go Vikes!

What does "waived/injured" mean exactly? I've been seeing it a lot.

NFL teams aren't allowed to just waive injured players.

Waived injured allows them to do so with an injury settlement.
