Smith honored

Safety Dwight Smith, who had two interceptions in Sunday's 41-17 win over the New York Giants, was named NFC defensive player of the week.

Smith set up a touchdown with his first interception and returned the second for a 93-yard score.

He also is one of five candidates for this week's GMC defensive player of the week award.
