The Vikings still have over 2,800 tickets remaining for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions and are expected to formally ask for an extension from the NFL Thursday.
The Vikings will probably need corporate help again. But getting an extension from the NFL will buy them another 24 hours to find a corporate partner and/or find a few thousand fans who want to attend the game.
