Rookie Wendell Mathis promoted to active roster

The Vikings filled their remaining roster spot by bumping up RB Wendell Mathis, who has been on the practice squad the entire season. Mathis played at Fresno State, and he gained 2,300 yards in two seasons there.
With his promotion, the Vikings have a spot open on the practice squad.
