Tailgating is back
The Vikings are bringing back stadium tailgating for the 2007 season.
The team recently sent out a letter to season-ticket holders, giving them first crack at 1,100-some spots in four lots between 3rd and 5th streets on land that has been purchased by the Vikings.
Cost of a season pass is $280.
"Through fan feedback and surveys, one of the things we've heard loud and clear from our fans is we need a place to tailgate," team vice president of public affairs/stadium development Lester Bagley said. "So that's what we're addressing with this program."
Bagley added that the tailgating program is for this season only at this point but could be extended to include future seasons.

Isn't $40 a lot to pay to tailgate
in a parking lot owned by the Vikings? You would thimk they would charge their own fans less the the other lots, not more. Last year was only $20 and now they don't have to pay to bus us to the games. Also fires won't be allowed in the new lots.
