Former Gopher to Steelers
Former Gophers standout safety Tyrone Carter has agreed to a three-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Carter played in all 16 games in 2006, starting three, while finishing with 42 tackles. He also forced two fumbles and tallied two sacks for the Steelers.

It is impressive that a guy who is 5'8" has stuck around and played solid ball for this many years at a physical position. If he plays out his contract, that will be ten years. Good job Carter. It is good to see good old hard work and a hard nosed attitude pay off for the guy.
