Scott visit

Free-agent defensive tackle Ian Scott concluded his two-day visit to Winter Park today but left without a contract.

Scott, a veteran of four seasons with the Chicago Bears, visited Denver earlier this week and Kansas City and Atlanta reportedly have expressed interest.

Pat is on the TOP of his game (no worries here) ! The VIKES have got to focus the interest on Moulds. Why has this guy not generated any interest? he was money last year....not to mention the bombs were from Carr ! didn't he have a 200+ yard game last year.............

Another guy that we bring in leaves without a contract. Childress isn't too good at "sealing the deal", makes one wonder how he ever landed a girlfriend, let alone a wife.

Tough to say what Moulds has left in the tank, but like every other free agent, we could do worse (and currently are). He'll be 34 when the season begins. He's had two bad QBs in the last few years throwing to him, so maybe a strong arm like Travaris could get some production from him. Haven't heard a single rumor linking the Vikes to him yet though.

Scott would be a good add
but it sounds like he's
seeking starters money
And with the Tank Johnson
fiasco, will probably re-sign
with the Bears. That said, I realize this years FA market
seems to lack talent and prices are high, but why then are teams like the Broncos, Eagles and Patriots staying so active and doing so well? At minimum, they have adapted to the market to fill their needs.Building through the draft is a great idea, when it is done in conjunction with a plan
that utilizes all means to
aquire the best talent available. Chilly & Spielly, are clueless,
and my guess by this time next year.. jobless!

Jimb A., you are right to mention the Patriots, Eagles, and Broncos as teams that have consistently good off-seasons, but to say that they've all been super active is simply untrue.

Who did the Eagles sign before the Kevin Curtis coup? And is resigning Buckhalter some sweet pick-up? Come on.

The Broncos have made a couple key additions, mostly via trades, and have done a really good job as always, but they were replacing a lot of people (Darrent Williams R.I.P and Jake the Snake most notably), and probably downgraded on both of those positions with who they got.

The Patriots have had a huge free agency period, but that was after doing nothing last year. It was like: re-up or dismantle. So they re-upped, as they should have.

I know last year was more fun, but it was precisely because we went out and got so many guys last year that we don't need that much this year. Yes it would be sweet if there were like 8 more awesome receivers on the market so that we could cement that position, but let's just see what we do with the draft.
