Vikings sign veteran quarterback...

...But it's just Drew Henson, who spent a portion of the 2006 season on the Vikings' practice squad.

The NFL Network reported that Henson signed a one-year deal with the Vikings for the league minimum.

What a dramatic fall for Henson, who once was considered the heir apparent to Troy Aikman in Dallas.

Now, he's essentially a camp arm buried behind Brooks Bollinger and Tarvaris Jackson. Ouch.

Guess that means either Tarvaris or Brooks will start, I actually wouldn't mind seeing Brooks start though he hasn't really had a full chance to get a full week of practice in as #1 and he actually has looked decent when he has filled in.

The NE game was bad but, he moved the ball really nice.

oh boy...the brass at Vikes HQ surely impressed me with that bold move. NOT.

Oh well...

As for seeing Brooks or TJack start - I'll defer to my comments in previous posts which are...it doesn't matter. I could start at QB and have as good of a chance as they will as long as Childress is calling the plays. Throwing 3-yard passes when it's 3rd and long will get boo'd out of the dome the FIRST time he allows it to happen...mark my words.

Wait, wait, wait. Aren't the Vikes supposed to sign Henson to the practice squad, release, then repeat? This move is really out there...
