Bethel Johnson to Eagles

WR Bethel Johnson is nearing an agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Johnson signed with the Vikings during the 2006 season and primarily served as a return specialist.

Personally, I think the Vikes would have been better served to keep Bethel Johnson than to sign Bobby Wade. At least he was very fast.

I hope they resign Travis Taylor now, he is the best that is left out there and was the Vikes best receiver last year. I'm not a big fan of this addition by subtraction strategy that is happening so far.

Add Wade, subtract Bethel, divide
Williamson & McMullen and multiply
by Shiancoe? and the answer to the
equation is 4-12!!

I'm not sure the defense can win four games. I was in Vegas last week and the odds on the Raider's winning the super bowl were better than the Vikings.

I'm already bummed about next season and it hasn't even begun. I'm still going to keep my false hope for Calvin Johnson.

Bitch, bitch, bitch. Am I the only one feeling the positive vibrations? Oh, I know what it is...I'm in Texas, where it's been sunny and in the 70s.

Oh how wonderful life is, and oh how I'm liking the Vikings' off-season plans. They're paying a lot (which that Schefter wannabe Adam Schein ripped them for), but they're getting some really good pick-ups. Not shiny fan-boy pick-ups, but solid players.

Don't forget we've got Jason Carter who may come out and surprise everyone next year. And we're still in the running for Calvin Johnson. If the Browns trade down, they're more likely to trade with us than the Texans or Fins, who will snatch up Quinn. But will they fear that the Cards will trade down, or perhaps the Bucs once Johnson is off the board? Is it too risky for them to try?

If the Vikes are forced (boo-hoo) to take a killer DE or LaRon Landry at #7, I'm sure we'll get a receiver drafted high, and several taken later or undrafted.

So, I'm excited.

Bethel Johnson had his chance to shine, and he didn't. It was called the Patriots game, and we needed some offense. And with a new KR on the roster, do we need him taking up space?

I don't think anyone really cares that Bethel Johnson was signed by the Eagles, the point of this topic
is that the Vikings moves are highly suspect. Not only are they
going for the players that aren't
the "Shiny Fan Boys pick-ups" but they're over-paying them. Additionally, if anyone thinks that they are going to attempt to make a trade or do anything that remotely resembles what 28 million in cap space can afford, you're sadly mistaken. As for Schein's
comments, you may want to read the
Fan postings within his Blog. They too like you.,are/were Viking Fans.

Does anybody know if there is a high character right guard or pass rush specialist that has been cut off anybodies practice squad lately? Man, I sure would like to see the Vikes throw 5 million a year at one. That, or find somebody that has been given starting jobs on other teams twice then cut the following year because they were not very good. Man, the team would be set then. Go Vikes!! All the way to LA.
