Graham to Broncos

Not that the Vikings were players. But TE Daniel Graham signed a massive deal with the Denver Broncos. Graham agreed to a five-year, $30 million contract that included $15 million in guarantees.

That's probably significantly more than the Vikings were willing to pay, although the guaranteed money was twice what they gave Visanthe Shiancoe.

Graham also drew interest from the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks.

With his signing, Jermaine Wiggins may land a deal soon.

Now that we signed too many run blocking tight ends, any chance the Vikes will drop Jimmy K. and go after Randy McMichael? They'd actually have some sort of threat out there then...

I don't think the Vikes are looking at Shiancoe as a blocking TE and if they drop Jimmy K, Owens will fill his role. As for Randy McMichael, I think he is a physical freak and would instantly be the best pass catcher on the whole Vikings team if they sign him. I believe he is head and shoulders above Daniel Graham as a football player and would give the Vikes their best over the middle threat since Steve Jordan. He is one guy I would like to see them drop some money on.

As already stated, the Vikes would
be wise to go after McMike, he
has all the skills and talent that
you want in a TE. The problem is,
the "Brain-Trust"? isn't of the
mindset in aquiring this type of
player, he's been too productive.

They did sign Steve Hutchinson, Pat Williams, and Ryan Longwell last year and they all had long productive histories.

Maybe they won't downgrade every position by the time the year is out. So far the only positions that haven't gotten worse this offseason are the D-Line and the kickers. That worries me a bit.

McMichael is a wife beater. Stallworth is in the program. That's why we can't go after them.

Once you promise to make character an issue you promise. No matter how good the player is.
